The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), established in 1929, is one of the oldest and most respected appraisal organizations in the United States. ASFMRA is a founding Sponsor of the Appraisal Foundation and remains in good standing.  The Society has a long history of working with the Appraisal Foundation and Federal Government on appraisal policy, standards, methodology and regulations.  ASFMRA offers advanced appraisal education for Certified General licensure as well as continuing education across the country.  Over the years, ASFMRA has trained thousands of the country’s most advanced appraisers.

The ASFMRA strives to:

  • Protect and promote the interest of members before government, regulatory bodies, and other organizations,
  • Enhance member opportunities for professional development and interaction with peers through meetings, publications, and educational offerings.
  • Improve ethics, standards, and quality of service offered by members,
  • Promote awareness and confidence in the integrity, objectivity, competence, and professionalism of the ASFMRA’s Accreditation program, and
  • Recruit and maintain a highly qualified, professional membership.
